Traumatic Brain Injury

A traumatic brain injury can be caused by a blow to the head or a penetrating injury that causes a disruption in brain function. Children under age 4 and people over age 75 are more susceptible to brain injuries as a result of slip and fall incidents while newborns can suffer brain injuries during birth due to lack of oxygen to the brain. Some causes of brain injuries are physical assault, athletic injuries and shaken-baby syndrome but the leading cause of traumatic brain injury for adolescents and adults is motor vehicle accidents.

Consequences of Traumatic Brain Injury:

  • Cognitive Impairment: Short- or long-term memory loss; difficulty concentrating, communicating or planning; spatial disorientation
  • Physical Impairment: Seizures; headaches; speech impairment; partial or complete paralysis of the body; vision, hearing, smell or taste loss
  • Psychological/behavioral changes: Anxiety; impulsivness; depression; agitation; mood swings

I am dedicated to helping you obtain compensation for medical expenses, rehabilitation, lost income, pain and suffering and other hardships you have endured due to your brain injury.
